Class Descriptions

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of yoga available. Students perform postures and breathing exercises with the aid of a chair. Students can experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor. Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, and stress reduction.

Gentle Candlelit Flow & Stretch

This is an all levels class that blends both strength and stretch. As a gentle class, you'll be guided into low impact poses that are easy on the joints and include many modifications for all levels. Props are encouraged to allow the body to fully achieve each pose comfortably.This is a great class for students looking for a more gentle experience, those who are new to yoga or those who need a change of pace, yet still have the option to take it to the next level. Also the perfect class for students with injuries or limitations. We start and end each class with meditation, and make sure to stretch target areas such as low back and shoulders/neck. Candles are lit, and our warm far-infrared lights are on, creating a relaxing and restorative vibe to bring you out of your head and into your body.

Gentle Afternoon Flow

Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. We will be flowing through a variety of postures that is tailored to the class, targeting a different area of the body with each practice. Our afternoon classes focus on gentle strength building, stretching, and breath work.

Yin Yoga

This class is formulated around the slow, mindful style of Yin yoga. Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues throughout the body. The aim here is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. The postures are heal for prolonged periods of time (2-5 minutes) and are done from seated or supine position on the floor. You'll also be guided through deep breathing techniques.
